The way we teach matters
Clear instruction.
Purposeful practice.
A real connection.
Structured literacy makes the building blocks of language explicit. Our therapists use an Orton-Gillingham approach to help students understand how reading and spelling work, step by step.
- Lessons built around the individual learner
- Skills taught systematically and directly
- Practice that reinforces what’s been taught
- Encouragement grounded in your child’s strengths

The people behind the progress
Specialist knowledge.
Personal attention.
The Reading Clinic brings together therapists trained in structured literacy and the Orton-Gillingham approach. We provide individualized online instruction for students who need support with reading, spelling, and writing.
Our approach starts with the learner: their strengths, their current skills, and what helps them feel ready to try again. Families are partners in that process, from the first conversation to the next step in instruction.

How does online therapy work?
Your child works one-on-one with a therapist through online sessions. Instruction is individualized, with practice and progress monitoring to support learning. We’ll discuss the technology, scheduling, and home practice expectations before you begin.
Does my child need a dyslexia diagnosis?
You’re welcome to start with a consultation whether your child has a diagnosis or you’re still trying to understand their difficulties. We’ll help identify an appropriate next step. A screening is different from a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation.
What is structured literacy?
Structured literacy teaches language skills explicitly and systematically. Instruction helps students understand the connections among sounds, letters, spelling patterns, and language, with skills introduced in a deliberate sequence.
What if my child already reads words accurately?
Some students have developed decoding skills but still need support with fluent reading, comprehension, or written expression. Advanced Literacy Intervention may be a useful service to discuss.
How much does support cost?
Cost depends on the recommended service. During your consultation, we’ll explain the current options, pricing, and what’s included so you can decide what fits your family.
